Trees, Trees, Everywhere

It was SO hot yesterday afternoon, but was I inside enjoying the AC? Oh no, I was outside toiling in the dirt...

We went to Lowe's (for something entirely different) and came away with a ton of shrubs and trees. They were having a 75% off sale so we're finally able to landscape the back yard. We needed to put some shrubs/hedges underneath our windows because of the annoying pests that come in the spring and fall (I thought for sure I had blogged about it, because let me tell you, I have plenty to say about those clover mites but I can't find any posts about them) - they say putting plants and mulch will cause enough of a barrier that they may not get on/in the house (but really there's not a ton you can do). I say "whatever it takes" because I really was going crazy. I still can't believe I didn't post about it, I must have been wanting to spare you the anxiety.

I'll post pictures of the back when it's done. It's going to take a while to plant all of them though cause our soil is really rocky and hard to dig holes. Poor Mark.
