Rain and Chicken

RAIN
It rained ALL weekend. It seemed like it started Friday at about 2pm and did not stop. Sunday started promising, living up to its name - SUNday. We went to church and decided to go to the Dogwood Festival (Artsy Craftsy Fair downtown). We go every year but I had just about decided to not go this year (it's just not fun when the weather is nasty). It was the same as the other years, but still fun.

We went home so I could clean house and Mark could tackle the jungle (a.k.a. our yard). Five minutes after he came in it started raining...again... It was still stormy when I fell asleep. It's sunny again - we'll see how long that lasts.

CHICKEN
Umm, that was me...last night... I chickened out and didn't use the sewing machine. We have students coming over the next three nights and I needed a tablecloth for the kitchen table. I bought fabric to make a tablecloth (saved almost $4 by doing that instead of buying a ready-made one). But, time was tight last night and I didn't have the courage to get the sewing machine out and try it out on something I needed the next day. SO, I got that iron-on stiching stuff out of my sewing box and made a tablecloth - it looks great. I know...chicken...
