Updates

Weekend Update - This weekend, we went to our 2nd family reunion of the summer. This is the summer of reunions - we've got 3. 'Nough said.
Actually, both reunions were fun. I don't really know a ton of people and sometimes secretly hope that some of those people in the room are related by marriage so that some recessive personality gene won't suddenly kick in =o), but they're always fun. If you see Mark, congratulate him on surviving 2 of my family's reunions.
Then we went to Branson. Yet another interesting cultural experience.

World Cup Update - both Brazil and Portugal are through to the next round, so things are going well at our house.

Sewing Update - only one more room to go! Pictures soon...
I also just want to say "thank you for parents" and "thank you for webcams."
Yesterday I was having some problems with my stitches not looking pretty...they were all loopy, which was making me loopy.
So, when we were on Skype with my parents, I showed them the stitches on the webcam. They both said, without consulting each other (!), "there's lint in your bobbin case."
Sure enough. I used the brush that came with the sewing kit (oh, that's what it's for), found the lint, and now my stitches look perfect. Yeah, I was impressed - accurate diagnosis from 4319 miles away. Thanks, Mom and Dad.

Sleep Update - Thankfully, no more crazy dreams.
