Hi,
Let us re-introduce ourselves, because I'm sure you've forgotten who we even are =o).
Wow. Time has not been standing still. And neither have we.
This past week was a blur.
400 new students arrived onto campus and with that arrival was a flurry of activity as we all prepared for Move-In and Orientation.
Thankfully, we were able to get away from campus for a bit. We went to Colorado for the weekend =o). Saturday was Grandma Izzy's 90th Birthday Party and Open House (for her new house).
We flew out Friday after work and got back last night. Considering the new security measures in place, this was probably one of the smoothest trips we've had with 3 out of 4 flights arriving early at their destinations. All was well until the last leg.
We arrived in Arkansas an hour and a half after we were scheduled to, because something happened to our plane and we had to wait over an hour for another one to come from the hangar.
What happened to our plane? I don't know and I didn't ask.
Why does it take an hour for another one to get to the gate? Who knows. They weren't busy refilling the pretzels, that's for sure...'cause we didn't get any.
But we're home. Today's the 1st day of classes and the cafeteria was full of anxious looks from freshmen and hugs between returning students. Ahh...another year off to a start.
