Bright and Cheery/Dark and Gloomy

I had to be be bright and cheery when it was dark and gloomy oustide. I woke up before 5 am (gasp!) to be at our school's radio station at 6 am to answer calls for their fundraising push they're doing today and tomorrow.

I'm not a morning person. Well, I function well in the morning. Once I'm up. It's getting up that's the problem. I really do wish that I were a (better) morning person, because it's not even 8:30am and I feel like I've done so much already. And for me - overachiever extraordinaire - that is a good feeling.

I went out of my comfort zone this morning by answering the phone (I sound like I'm 14 when I'm on the phone) but had a really good experience. It got hectic at times and trying to decipher spellings and phone numbers was interesting (add in cell phone connections, heavy rain, and wiper blade noises and you get the idea). It was fun, though, to hang out with the ladies I work with doing something different.

Ah, and I get to do it all over again tomorrow. Maybe this will inspire me enough to become a morning person...(and my parents and husband are thinking "yeah, right").
