Spontaneity

I think I've posted about this before (probably when we spontaneously decided to go to Blue Man Group) but it's nice to be spontaneous.

Yesterday, after aerobics -- yes, I still managed to make it to my usual work out time even though it was my day off -- I was in Mark's office waiting for him to wrap up some loose ends so we could go to lunch together. He had put in several extra hours this week and last, so he decided to do a few more things and take the rest of the day off.

So, at about 2pm, we decided to go out to Lake Wedington for the afternoon and do some hiking. By 3pm, we were out navigating the trails. It's nice to have moments like that, when we can just pick up and go. We hiked for almost 2 hours and took some pictures (of course) but they're not on the digital so we can't even prove we were out in the woods.

It's been really restful to have some days off. Monday is probably going to come all too soon, but doesn't it always?
