Spring Break?

It's spring break, or so they say, here at the University. Things are unusually quiet which makes it the perfect environment for either getting a lot done or not having the motivation to do much at all. I can't say the first is true, but I'm trying really hard to fight the second. Anyway, I don't feel like it's spring BREAK.

It does feel like Spring, though. It rained just a bit yesterday, it's supposed to continue doing that all week, and the temperatures are finally climbing. We worked in the yard this weekend and I planted some bulbs (tulips and dahlias), some ground covering phlox, and some pansies. It's nice to see color coming back. I thought our bradford pear tree had kicked the bucket but I looked out the window the other day and was shocked to see a full tree of white blooms. It seems like it just happened overnight too.
