We're back from Wichita. We got back Sunday afternoon but then went out to dinner with some friends who are moving away so it was a late night on Sunday. Then, Monday came and we all know how those are. I was finally able to unpack and pick up around the house last night. It looks better. I would have liked to clean, but tidy is better than nothing.

I'm in total Commencement Reception mode and trying to come up with 138 centerpieces. I'm doing chocolate brown and green apple (notice how my colors revolve around food... :o)...we're not eating either of those, though!). Anyway, I don't have 138 of anything (except votive holders and it's daytime, so no candles) and I have about 4 different sizes of tables, so I'm trying to come up with types of centerpieces that look like they should go together but aren't identical.

On my desk right now: 15 yards of chocolate brown fabric (sheer), 1 pair of pinking shears, 20 ft of copper tubing, 1 heavy duty tubing cutter, my table breakdown with centerpiece sketches, and my decoration closet inventory list... Don't you wish you were here? Or you could wait until Thursday when my shipment of 250+ apples arrives...
