We did it...we successfully convinced other people that our junk is their treasure. =o) It's actually really funny to see what sells and what doesn't. Things we thought would be snatched up immediately were sitting there for a couple of hours.
We were up late last night pricing stuff. We got to bed at 1:30 or 2 am (not sure which - at some point it doesn't matter anymore). We advertised that we would be open at 7 am and knowing that people would be there WAY early, we decided to start putting stuff out around 6:15 (that way we would be ready). So, I got up, took a shower (I know...you're impressed), had a bowl of cereal (now I really know you're impressed) and we were ready at 6:10 to start putting stuff out. Yeah, so we hadn't gotten the first table out before somebody was stopping in front of our house.
The sale went pretty well except for the occasional hard-core negotiators. They almost ruin it for me. I mean, come on...it's a dime and you want it for a nickel? Good grief...
All in all, we got stuff out there, made quite a bit of money, and we may go out on a date tonight to celebrate (gotta make money to spend money, right =o)....)
