Brrrr

I'm sitting in my office and freezing. I'm wearing a long sleeve shirt and a sweater, in April, and I'm still freezing. Granted, my office is at the end of the line on the heating supply so I'm usually cold, but that's a whole 'nother story. We had a *little* snow on Thursday night. Nothing stuck, but it was definitely enough to coat our car a bit.

We had a three day weekend which was wonderful, but it was almost too cold to do anything. Yesterday, we were at a friend's house and they did an egg hunt. The kids were too distracted by the mass quantity of eggs to notice that it was freezing, but the adults noticed (at least I did...I had a skirt on).

I made a key lime pie and a french silk pie this weekend. They turned out pretty well. The meringue on the key lime was not the prettiest I've seen but it tasted good, so I guess that's what matters. My 90 year old grandma is my hero. She always makes pies (as in several pies of several flavors) for family gatherings. Pies are a lot of work, folks. Hope I can have that much pie-baking energy at that age.

This weekend we're heading to Texas for Mark's cousin's wedding. It better be warmer down there, 'cause if not, I'll be cold again. Guess I could always wear my coat over a pretty little dress...sometimes comfort has to come before looks.
