And....he's gone again....

Just like that, Mark's gone again. I took him to the airport this morning for his flight up to Michigan for a conference. He'll be back on Saturday evening. Poor guy, he'll be ready to settle down for a bit at that point.



So...back to being by myself. I rented "The Queen." Mark didn't think he would ever want to watch it so that's my clue to see it now or never. I'm actually fairly busy the next few days, so the time should go by quickly. Mark took the laptop with him, so I'm computerless at home. I mean, I don't really get on it that much but not having it as an option is weird. So don't email me in the evenings. :o)



And just a little story to let you know how sweet and loving my husband is, lest you think his recent absences mean otherwise :o):



I've been wanting to get this book.

I saw it at Borders recently and was so intrigued by it. Click here if you want to find out more about it. Well, I've been really wanting Mark to get it off BookMooch (essentially, an online book swap).

He told me that he has been trying but it's hard because everybody has it on their wishlist and it gets snatched up as soon as somebody lists it in their inventory. Well...he's been lying. Yes...the sweet man I married has been lying.

While we were in Dallas 2 1/2 weeks ago, he was able to "mooch" it - no word about it to me.

While we were in South Carolina, I was telling Jeff about it (I tell you, I'm excited about it) - nothing ... he was standing right there and knew that he had already ordered it (it was actually sitting in our mailbox at home at that point).

Dana and I were in the living room talking and I told her about it - little did I know that it was already in our garage by that point. He had tucked it in there as soon as we got back from South Carolina.

Last night, Mark took me out to dinner and gave me the book. You would have thought he had bought me a diamond I was so excited...he wanted me to have it to read while he was gone so the time would go by faster. Yes, my husband is a sweet (lying) loving man.

I'll let you know how the book is. Hopefully it's good, since I have high expectations (which usually isn't good - I end up enjoying books most when I had no expectations at all).
