If you see Mark, give him a pat on the back - he worked hard this weekend! He put ALL the handles on all the cabinet doors and drawers in the whole house. That's 42 handles in the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room. And, if you know Mark you know how careful he is about having all of them level and correctly spaced.
On a different note, I had my first eye opening experience on Friday. I guess I was in denial before that point, but not anymore...
Mark and I went in for new drivers' licenses (excuse me if the accent is placed incorrectly, I'm not quite sure which should be plural). Anyway, we had to go because of our new address. We're both used to waiting in places like this because of our experiences in Portugal and Brazil. When I go into it knowing I'm going to wait forever, then I think I'm more patient. Friday was my first experience here in the States that we had to wait a while and because we weren't expecting to, the whole thing was quite unbearable. We waited for an hour and a half before our number was called...yes...1:30 minutes. OK, maybe that's not forever, but it was over lunch, so we were hungry (and if you know me, I can get cranky when I haven't eaten) - let me just say it wasn't a pleasant wait.
When we arrived, the number called was "10" (ours was "25"). Right before our number was called, I noticed that the last person to come in had a "52." It was going to be a long afternoon for them...
